Baker’s Back

Michael Chertoff’s former second-in-command at the Department of Homeland Security, Stewart Baker, is back in the private practice fold at D.C. mega-firm Steptoe & Johnson‘s 1330 Connecticut offices; the return marks his fourth stint with the firm, including once briefly as general counsel to the weapons of mass destruction commission (in which position he drafted the final WMD report, observing that intelligence mistakes were understandable given past Iraqi trickery).

Stewart also writes the web blog Homeland Reading List, on which he explores security-related issues.
