Rugby: Dartmouth 81, Princeton 3

The Dartmouth Rugby Football Club opened its home double-header this weekend with an 81 – 3 trouncing of Princeton University, remaining the only unbeaten club in Ivy League play.

A penalty kick by Princeton early in the second half of the match saved it from a complete shutout, and two Princeton ruggers left the field with concussions.

Princeton head coach Rich Lopacki praised the unbeaten DRFC: “It was a pleasure to watch them play.” Coach Lopacki also described Dartmouth’s Corey Ford Rugby Clubhouse as “a beautiful pitch… One of the crown jewels in the U.S. constellation of rugby facilities.”
